It presents an exhaustive analysis of terrorism in Kashmir, the North-Eastern states and Punjab besides left-wing terrorism. We find a revealing expose of the machinations of the ISI and the threat of pan-Islamic fundamentalism. The authors show that ad hoc responses in the nature of fire-fighting do not lead us anywhere. That is why, in spite of having killed thousands of terrorism that deals and arrested several times more, we are still nowhere near controlling terrorism that defines a political, police or military solution. Here the authors develop a comprehensive strategy for counterinsurgency, followed by an enunciation of the crucial tactical concepts that will ensure victory in our war against terrorism.
